About
I photograph what others walk past. The overlooked organisms of the natural world, the parts of built environments nobody lingers in. Somebody needs to represent them. That is what I do.
My name is D.A. Saraswati. I have been taking photographs for a long time, diving into underwater photography for over a decade. My background is in architecture, market research, and data visualisation, from which I brought the instinct to look past the obvious.
In nature, the integrity of the observation takes priority over technical perfection. This means minimal disturbance to subjects and honest conditions.
I am open to collaborations in conservation, field documentation, and projects where image-making meets data storytelling.
Selected images have been used in international taxonomic databases and are pending publication in scientific literature. Full observation record on iNaturalist.
