About

I photograph what others walk past. The overlooked organisms of the natural world, the parts of built environments nobody lingers in. Somebody needs to represent them. That is what I do.

My name is Diah Anggraini Saraswati. I have been photographing since 1984, diving into underwater photography since 2012. I brought over the instinct to look past the obvious and find what is underneath from my background in architecture, market research, and data visualisation.

In nature, the integrity of the observation takes priority over technical perfection. This means minimal disturbance to subjects and honest conditions.

I am open to collaborations in conservation, scientific documentation, and projects where image-making meets data storytelling.

Selected images have been used in international taxonomic databases and pending publication in scientific literature. Full observation record on iNaturalist.
